North Korea is a nation situated in the north of the Korean Peninsula in the east of Asia. Pyongyang, is its capital city. In North Korea, the total Infant mortality rate stands at 26.21 deaths per 1000 live births (Stillwell & Clarke, 2011). The Infant mortality rate of the male is 29.05 deaths per 1000 live births while that of females is 23.24 deaths per 1000 live births.
